Cannelloni

This recipe proved that low carb cannelloni is not a myth! As the wraps recipe is really basically eggs, I was concerned that this is going to taste very eggy, which I don’t like. But the arabiata sauce and the cheese sort of covered this eggy feeling and the overall taste is yummy πŸ™‚

I got the wrap recipe from KetoConnect (link).

For the wraps:

per wrap, you need one egg room temperature and 2 tsp heavy cream. I season them with oregano.

For the filling for 2 wraps:

  • roast 150 gr minced meat with one small onion and some green pepper
  • season with 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1/4 tsp oregano, 1/4 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp chilli
  • when brown add 1 tbsp arabiata sauce, 1 tbsp heavy cream, and 2 tbsp gruyere cheese
  • fill in the wraps and place them in a pyrex form
  • brush some arabiata sauce on top of the wraps, then top it with a slice of cheese (I use Edamer)
  • Put in the oven at 200 C for 15-20 min
